Fifty-five works from the MoCP collection have contributed to the success of Dorothea Lange: The Crucial Years at the Museo Colecciones ICO in Madrid, Spain. As part of Photo Espana, The Crucial Years is a complete review of Langeā??s photographs taken from projects for the Farm Security Administration, War Relocation Authority and urban scenes of American metropolis. MoCP director Rod Slemmons and manager of collections Kristin Freeman both made separate trips to Madrid to oversee the installation of the show. Check out some images from the installation below. In September, The Crucial Years travels on to the Monasterio De Veruela in Zaragoza, Spain.
