Been missing your weekends at the MoCP? Starting this Sunday, the MoCP will re-open from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, allowing photography enthusiasts and the general public access to our collection of renowned local, national and international photographers.
Our newest exhibition, Crime Unseen, opens on Friday and will be on display through January 15, 2012.

Don't miss the exhibition Resiliencia, organized by the Instituto Cervantes in collaboration with AECID, PhotoEspaƱa, the International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago, Next Art Fair, and the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College Chicago.

A committee designated by PhotoEspaƱa selected 40 projects out of 342 entries to participate in the portfolio exhibit in Mexico City and Lima. Exhibition curator Claudi Carreras and the Director of the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College Chicago, Rod Slemmons, present the work of 10 young artists who participated in the 2009 edition of PHE Discoveries in Latin America.

Resiliencia opens February 4 at 6pm and is on view until March 31 at the Instituto Cervantes, 31 W Ohio St.

Our new collection of about 150 late '70s-early '80s-era Polaroids and black-and-white silver gelatin prints by legendary pop artist Andy Warhol was part of the Andy Warhol Foundationā??s Photographic Legacy Program. The photographs include a number of portraits, including many of Warhol's celebrity friends and Factory regulars. Read more about the gift as reported in the Columbia Chronicle and DEMO magazine.
