Robert Cumming is a painter, photographer, printmaker, and sculptor. He completed his BFA at Massachusetts College of Art (1965) and an MFA at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (1967). He is the recipient of three National Endowment for the Arts Grants (1972, 1975, 1979) and the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Artist Fellowship (1980-1981). His work is in the collections of the Corcoran Gallery, Washington, DC and the Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY, among others.
