Randy Matusow completed a BFA in photography atthe Rhode Island School of Design, Providence in 1976. She is represented in the The Ninth Annual Portfolio of the Photographic Education Society, Rhode Island School of Design, which comprises photographs by the program's participants in 1976. Matusow subsequently moved to New York and began working for Magnum Photos as a photo researcher, while doing freelance photography for magazines such as Esquire, London Sunday Times, Fortune, and Forbes. Matusow completed an MFA in photography at Brooklyn College in 1994. She currently teaches at City College, New York, and Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.
