This panel of curators and collectors will discuss collecting photographs — from pricey vintage prints to emerging artist bargains — for pleasure and investment. Moderated by museum associate director, Natasha Egan, the panel will include Carol Ehlers, curator of the LaSalle Bank photography collection and collectors Bob and Barbara Horwitch, Andreas Waldburg-Wolfegg and Leslie Baum.
A Conversation on Lee Friedlander - James Enyeart and Catherine Evans

James Enyeart professor of photography at the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Catherine Evans, chief curator of the Columbus Museum of Art, Ohio, will discuss Lee Friedlander’s influential and prolific career. Enyeart wrote the introductory essay for the catalogue Sticks and Stones and served as the director of George Eastman House: International Museum of Photography, New York (1989-95. Evans curated the traveling exhibition At Work currently on view at the Museum of Contemporary Photography.
