Lecture: Dinh Q. Lê

Where: Ferguson Theater, 600 S. Michigan

Dinh Q. Lê makes provocative photo-weavings using images appropriated from the media and Hollywood films that reference the war in Vietnam. This lecture is presented in conjunction with the Photography Department of Columbia College Chicago.

Conversation: Jeffrey A. Wolin and Larry Heinemann

Exhibiting artist Jeff Wolin and Vietnam Veteran and author Larry Heinemann will discuss the impact of the Vietnam War on the lives of US Veterans as evidenced in the images and text on view. Following the discussion, Heinemann will sign copies of his recently released memoir Black Virgin Mountain: A Return to Vietnam.

Appraisal Day

Minimum donation of $5 per item

Finally, you can bring your own photographs to the museum! The staff from Leslie Hindman Auctioneers will be on hand to appraise photography, paintings, prints, and drawings, decorative arts, and jewelry. Proceeds support the exhibitions, public programs, and educational activities of the MoCP.
