Member Event: Studio Photography Workshop

Learn the fundamentals of studio photography including lighting portraits and tabletop set ups, and the operation of large-format view cameras in Columbia College’s state-of-the-art studio facilities. Bring a friend or favorite object to photograph or create a still life from objects in the studio. Shoot using your own analogue camera or produce 4×5 Polaroids from the studio’s large format cameras.

Film Screening: Stalker

See the science fiction milestone and cult classic in which the main character of the film, the Stalker, has the power to lead others into a mysterious realm in which it is believed that the secret dreams of those who enter come true, though they must confront foreboding and unexpected challenges along the way. Based on the Russian novel Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. (Andrei Tarkovsky, 1979, 163 minutes)
