Exhibiting artist Michael Schmelling will discuss his work and career including his Grammy award winning publication The Wilco Book (2004), his work in Atlanta (2010) documenting the Atlanta Hip Hop scene as well as his recent project “Your Blues” documenting Chicago’s music scene during a two-year-long MoCP commission. This lecture is presented in conjunction with the Columbia College Chicago photography department.
