Odette England is an artist and writer who uses photography, archives and text to explore home, labor, gender, and land. Her work has been exhibited in more than 100 museums, galleries and art spaces worldwide and is held in public collections including the Museum of Modern Art, George Eastman Museum, Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Photography. and the New Mexico Museum of Art.
Recent fellowships, grants and awards: Light Work, RISCA Fellowship in Photography, Peter E. Palmquist Memorial Fund Grant, Rauschenberg Publication Grant, Silver Eye Center for Photography Fellowship, Firecracker Photographic Grant, Film Photo Award, Anonymous Was a Woman, Andrew W. Mellon Foundation (2018 and 2019), CENTER Project Launch Award.
Lectures in Photography are co-presented by MoCP and the Photography Department at Columbia College Chicago.
