In this session, MoCP’s curatorial assistant Sylvie Harris will discuss themes of finding joy in public spaces and community gatherings. Many of the works featured are included in the current exhibition What Does Democracy Look Like? Artists discussed include Stephen Marc, Carrie Mae Weems, Michael Abramson, and James Iska, among others.
