Emily documents, manages, and ensures the preservation of the museum’s collection of over 18,000 works. She has over a decade of experience managing museum collections and is passionate about ensuring that diverse cultural narratives, told through art and artifacts, are accessible to current and future generations. She was formerly on the planning committee of the Chicago Collections and Registrars Specialists group and sits on the board of Action Reconciliation Services for Peace/Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste. Emily holds a BA in Communications from Elmhurst University, where she was Photo Editor for the award-winning student newspaper for two years; and received a certificate in Artifact Collection Care from the University of Chicago.
