About the Event

Join the Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP) for our annual benefit DARKROOM on June 8, 2023 at the Columbia College Chicago Student Center (5th floor) at 754 S. Wabash Ave., Chicago, IL 60605.

VIP Champagne Hour: 5:30-6:30 p.m. | Benefit and Auction: 6:30-9 p.m.

The benefit includes our renowned photography auction featuring important works by contemporary artists from around the world and one-of-a-kind art experiences. Event proceeds support essential MoCP exhibitions, education, and community engagement programs.

Bob Thall is this year’s Silver Camera Awardee and Catherine Edelman is this year’s DARKROOM Honoree. 

Jill Hopkins is this year’s DJ and Emcee.

Tickets are $175 for the benefit and $500 for the VIP portion, which includes the Champagne Hour featuring a Q&A with Bob Thall and Cecil McDonald, Jr.

The MoCP Darkroom 2023 auction is hosted by The Auction Collective in collaboration with Christie’s. The auction website with the detailed list of artworks and unique experiences is available now and it will begin to close at Noon Central Time (Chicago) on Friday, June 9, 2023.
