About The Event
Christina Seely’s Lux, co-published by MoCP and Radius, examines the disconnect between the vast beauty created by human-made light emanating from the earth’s surface and the carbon emissions created by the world’s wealthiest nations. Generous support for Christina Seely's Lux is made possible by the Lannan Foundation
Chicago-based photographer and Columbia College Chicago professor Brad Temkin’s Rooftop, published by Radius, captures the ways in which green spaces and urban architecture can exist together.
In her monograph Paradise Wavering, Alice Hargrave combines her current work with re-photographed materials from her family’s archive of 8mm films to construct works brimming with memory and mood. Hargrave is an adjunct professor at Columbia College Chicago, and Paradise Wavering, published by Daylight Books, includes an essay by MoCP Assistant Curator and Education Coordinator Allison Grant.
Each of the participating artists will briefly introduce their publications in advance of the signing portion of this event.
Please allow extra travel time on Thursday due to the NFL Draft – more info on street closures here.
