DARKROOM 2023
About The Event
The DARKROOM benefit includes MoCP’s renowned photography auction featuring important works by contemporary artists from around the world and one-of-a-kind art experiences. Event proceeds support essential MoCP exhibitions, education, and community engagement programs.
We raised over $275,000 with over 300 people at the 2023 event.
Bob Thall was this year’s Silver Camera Awardee and Catherine Edelman was this year’s DARKROOM Honoree.
Jill Hopkins was this year’s DJ and Emcee.
Tickets were $175 for the benefit (6:30-9:00 p.m.) and $500 for the VIP portion (5:30-6:30 p.m.), which included the Champagne Hour featuring a Q&A with Bob Thall and Cecil McDonald, Jr.

The MoCP Darkroom 2023 auction was hosted by The Auction Collective in collaboration with Christie’s. The auction was available from May 25-June 9, 2023. You can still see the list of artworks that were available on the auction website.
