Curran Hatleberg is a photographer based in Baltimore, MD. Many of Hatleberg’s works document smaller towns and rural areas around the U.S. from the people and animals who live in the communities to buildings and landscapes.

His work has been exhibited at MASS MoCA, ICP as well as the Whitney Biennial. His works are held in numerous public collections, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the SF MoMA. Hatleberg is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Magnum Emergency grant. Lost Coast, his first monograph, was released in 2016, and his second monograph, River’s Dream, was published in 2022. 

Lectures in Photography are co-presented by MoCP and the Photography Department at Columbia College Chicago.
