Photos at Noon: Fundamentals of Photography

MoCP Print Study Room – 600 S Michigan Ave

About The Event

Get to know the museum's collection this summer with a series of public print viewings. MoCP's curator of academic programs and collections will lead a mini-course on select themes and works pulled from the archive. Drop in to learn about some of the museum’s best works that are normally behind closed doors and meet fellow photography enthusiasts. These sessions are free and open to all levels.

This print viewing is meant to serve as a basic introduction to the medium of photography and includes images that demonstrate a range of fundamentals and techniques including camera optics, use of vantage point, framing, focus, light, time of day, and digital manipulation.
