Bring your lunch and join us for a dynamic discussion on the topic of socially engaged art and the power of engagement and healing for immigrant and refugee women with Iranian artist and Dammeyer Fellow Anahid Ghorbani, Photography Department Professor Judy Natal, Dean of Academic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Special Advisor to the President Matthew Shenoda, and staff of Heartland Alliance. The exploration highlights Columbia College Chicago’s commitment to community engagement and will include personal stories, opportunities for learning and academic enrichment, and open dialogue with experts who work on human rights issues for immigrants and refugees.
