About the Exhibition

A documentary project by Gilles Peress (New York)  that focused on the impact of war on the Bosnian civilian population.  The exhibition revealed a new look at the physical and psychological landscape of this embattled nation from the point of view of a visitor traveling from the countryside into the city of Sarajevo.  In his photographs, Peress bridges the gap between art and journalism.
