About the Exhibition

In her silver gelatin prints, Flor Garduño explored ideas of history and tradition as they relate to both mythology and the natural world. The photographs taken in many countries included still life, landscape, and portraiture. Using images of disembodied sculpture, holy relics, and mystical animals, Garduño created an iconic imagery mythical view of the world both timeless and placeless that addresses the grand themes of life and death.
