About the Exhibition
Seydou Keïta (Mali, born 1923) was a successful commercial photographer between 1948 and 1962 in the capital city of the former French Sudan (now Mali). Keïta’s portraits are revealing – even touching – sociological documents that reflect continued colonial influence and modern change in West Africa.
