About the Exhibition

A stunning retrospective by one of fashion photography’s masters– Skrebneski.  Victor Skrebneski is perhaps most famous for his glamorous Estee Lauder photographs, but the artistic range of his work encompasses a much broader scope.  This magnificent collection of more that fifty black-and-white and color photographs, selected from a career spanning four decades, revealed for the first time the full drama of Skrebneski’s work:  the elegant, glittering fashion photographs as well as the provocative, surrealistic compositions; the sensual, sculptural nude studies, as well as the renowned portraits of Orson Welles, Raquel Welch, Truman Capote, and others; recently revealed images from his private collection, including shimmering, mysterious views of Paris at night; and his current explorations of the human figure.
