Museum Council

Museum Council is MoCP’s growing auxiliary group of diverse professionals who share a passion for the medium of photography by taking active roles as museum-advocates within their individual networks to celebrate and support arts & culture through behind-the-scenes social, curatorial, and artist programs while gaining an introduction to institutional board education.

MoCP’s curatorial staff and development manager work collaboratively with the council to provide unique programming opportunities connecting members to wider cultural experiences and partnerships around Chicago.

Museum Council Participation:
*Annual dues contribution of $275
*Assist in fundraising / friend-raising through the Fine Print Program
*Attend 3 annual meetings (September, December, & May)
*Promote events, exhibitions, and programs within professional and social networks *Attend or support DARKROOM, MoCP’s annual fundraising benefit, through ticket purchases or donations
*Be positive, informed, and enthusiastic advocates for MoCP
