MoCP offers a variety of ways for you to become a valuable part of the museum community in support of our exhibitions, programs, and events this year, and in the future.

We welcome the generosity of visitors all year round. Whether you’re a familiar face or experiencing the museum for the first time, your contribution expands the frame of what we do here at the Museum of Contemporary Photography.

Individual Giving

Becoming a Friend of MoCP empowers anyone to be an annual, lifetime, or legacy contributor to the museum’s mission of presenting groundbreaking exhibitions, growing the permanent collection, working with new artists, building event experiences, and providing educational resources for the city of Chicago and beyond.

To make a tax-deductible donation to MoCP, you can click the button below to give online. MoCP also welcomes donations by check, DAF grants, wire transfers, and stock transfers. If you have questions about planned giving, or estate gifts and bequests, please contact us.

Curator’s Guild

Curator’s Guild is a membership group bringing together the most dedicated patrons—including high level donors, Advisory Board members, Darkroom Benefit Committee members, and Legacy Affiliates—all who share a commitment to advancing the museum’s mission to deepen the understanding of photography’s artistic, cultural, and political impact.

Members receive invitations to exclusive curator-led tours, private event previews, behind-the-scenes access to artist studios, and unique arts travel experiences that enhance their connection to the arts while building relationships with MoCP and our friends.

Museum Council

Museum Council is MoCP’s growing auxiliary group of diverse professionals who share a passion for the medium of photography by taking active roles as museum-advocates within their individual networks to celebrate and support arts & culture through behind-the-scenes social, curatorial, and artist programs while gaining an introduction to institutional board education.
