About The Event

Join MoCP to celebrate the opening of Channeling: body ←Image→ viewer with a conversation between co-curators Joan Giroux and Alice Maude-Roxby, moderated by MoCP Chief Curator and Deputy Director Karen Irvine.

The conversation begins at 4:30 pm inside MoCP, followed by the opening reception from 5:30-7:30 pm.


Joan Giroux is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist, educator, and activist whose work
frequently provides context for community and personal reflections on loss, absence, and bereavement.

Alice Maude-Roxby is an artist, curator, and writer based in London, whose publications and exhibitions focus on performance and photography, and feminism.

MoCP is located on the ground floor of 600 S. Michigan Ave. with two entrances at Harrison St. and Michigan Ave. To access the second floor of the exhibition, as well as restrooms, stairs and elevators are available.
